Despite the semi-failure of 28 years later, Who has just made $ 150 million in global revenue this summer, the saga continues.
Sony Pictures has just unveiled the first trailer of the suite, which will be called 28 years later: the temple of the dead. A new part that has already been filmed and produced by Nia dacostain place of Danny Boyle (who remains producer).
This sequel takes up the events just after the final scene of 28 years later, or after Spike (interpreted by Alfie Williams) crossed the road to a funny crew, a band of acrobatic killers led by Sir Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell), which managed to survive in this post-apocalyptic England.
Ralph Fiennes will also return. After his impressive passage in the saga in 28 years later, we will discover more about his character, Dr. Kelson, or the man who whispered in the ear of the zombies.
According to the official synopsis, “Dr. Kelson establishes a surprising relationship with potentially devastating consequences, while the meeting between Spike and Jimmy Crystal turns into a nightmare from which the young man cannot escape. Infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival: the inhumanity of survivors is perhaps more strange and more terrifying …”
The cast will also include Cillian Murphywhich will briefly resume his role as Jim, alongside Emma Laird, Maura Bird, Erin Kellyman et Chi Lewis-Parry.
If the appearance of Cillian Murphy will be short in this second part, the executive director and producer Danny Boyle confirmed to Variety that the actor must have a major role in the third film in the trilogy.
Except that Sony has not yet given the green light for this third film. The results of 28 years later Having disappointed, the dead temple will have to be at least as well. If its box office is even lower, nothing guaranteed that the final component will be produced one day.
