4 killed, 4 saved during avalanche on Utah ski trip

A ski outing in Utah resulted in tragedy when an avalanche killed 4 folks, and compelled the remaining members of the group to dig themselves, and the victims, out of the snow, in line with a report.

The lethal day occurred in Millcreek Canyon, about 15 minutes outdoors Salt Lake Metropolis.

The group of eight skiers knew one another, authorities stated.

“Solar was shining, fairly heat out, and I’m positive that’s what these folks had been out simply having fun with the sunshine and the attractive climate,” Sgt. Melody Cutler of the Unified Police informed 2KUTV.

“Thought they’d go for an excellent ski and had it finish in tragedy like this.”

The 4 survivors ranged from 23 to 38 years previous, and had been taken off the mountain through helicopter. One was stricken with hypothermia, police stated.
