This unexpected line-up sketches very different directions for the future of Bond.

Edward Bergerrewarded for To the west, nothing new and author of the thriller Conclavecould bring a touch of raw and tense realism to the British spy. His sense of drama as well as action makes it a credible pretender for a harsher, more anchored leap.

Denis Villeneuvefor his part, strong of Sicario, Blade Runner 2049 and the saga Dunewould bring the franchise into a new aesthetic and psychological dimension. His sense of staging and dense tales could hoist leap towards a biblical magnitude.

Edgar Wrightknown for Baby Driver, Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzzwould offer a more nervous and playful version, in the minds of the first parts, but with the pop energy that is its own.

Jonathan NolanChristopher’s brother, was a cozy The Dark Knight and creator of Westworld or Fallout. He seems cut for a James Bond More cerebral, morally ambiguous and narratively ambitious.

Paul Kingfinally, is certainly the name that detonates the most. But the director of the films Paddington and Wonkaknown for his sense of marvelous and emotion, could bring a refreshing touch.
