The impressive teaser of The Odyssey by Christopher Nolan Leak

The first images of the film fully shot in Imax are very, very desire.

The first teaser of Christopher Nolan’s next film, The Odysseyleaked online this Tuesday, a few hours after being revealed exclusively in the cinemas. Like the previous marketing campaigns of the British director, the teaser was broadcast only in the cinema, attached to the exit from Jurassic World : Renaissanceand should not initially be put online for a while.

This 70 -second teaser offers a first overview of this ambitious adaptation of the epic of Homer. We discover (furtively) Matt Damon in the skin of Ulysses, Tom Holland in that of his son Télémaque, and Jon Bernthal in a role still unknown. The voiceover that opens the video seems to be that of Robert Pattinson.

The sequence begins with plans of an agitated ocean and these words: ” Darkness. Zeus’ laws smashed to pieces. A kingdom without a king since my master died. He knew it was an unwinnable war, and then somehow… somehow he won it. “Which can result in:” Darkness. Zeus laws reduced to crumbs. A kingdom without king since the death of my master. He knew it was an impossible war to win, and yet … in one way or another, he won it. »

The teaser then shows images of the famous Trojan horse, first projected in shade on a beach, then stranded and half overwhelmed by the waves. Other plans reveal Greek soldiers, scenes from ruined cities.

A central scene features a dialogue between Telemachus (Tom Holland) and the character of Jon Bernthal. Both discuss the spell of Ulysses, visibly disappeared for a long time. Bernthal: “I don’t know about Ulysses, not from Troy. ». Telemachus: “I have to discover what happened to my father. When did you see it for the last time? “Bernthal then turns to the other people around the fire and addresses them by shouting:” The rumors interest you, huh? Gossip. Who has a story about Ulysses, huh? You ? Do you have one? Some say he is rich, others that he is poor. Others that he died or in prison. »

The trailer then continues on several images: a soldier – followed by other men – entering a cave, armed forces during the night and finally, Ulysses himself, lost in the middle of the ocean on a wreck of boat. Obviously, we can’t wait to discover all of this in the cinema on July 15, 2026, in a little over a year. The wait will be long …

As usual, Christopher Nolan brought together an impressive cast for The Odyssey. Alongside Damon, Holland, Pattinson and Bernthal, we will find Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Elliot Page, Mia Goth, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Corey Hawkins, Himesh Patel and Cosmo Jarvis, among others. The film is also the first big production entirely shot in IMAX cameras.
