Alice in Borderland Season 3 Release Date, Cast, Storyline, Trailer Release, and Everything You Need to Know

Based on Haro Aso’s popular comic, Alice in Borderland has been dubbed one of the best post-apocalyptic stories out there right now. Millions of people have watched its two seasons so far. The show is about Ryōhei Arisu or Yuzuha Usagi, who play cruel card games while fighting for their lives in a Tokyo that has been abandoned.

It has grown to be one of Japan’s most popular shows all over the world. With this success came the not-so-surprising news that Season 3 would be coming out in September 2023, nine months after Season 2 premiered. However, Season 2 was the official end of the story in the original source material, leaving many people wondering what the upcoming season will be about.

Alice in Borderland Season 3 : Release Date

Alice in Wonderland fans have been looking forward to the third season for a long time. There aren’t any official release dates yet, but there have been a lot of stories and guesses going around online.

Several of our sources say that the new season will likely start before December 2023. It may seem like a long time to wait, but don’t worry—the writers and stars are working hard to bring you a different thought-blowing season that will blow your mind.

While Season 3 was just released, there is still no date set for when it will come out. There is usually a two-year break between seasons, and both Season 1 and Season 2 had Christmas release dates, so some people think Season 3 might come out around or in December 2024.

Alice in Borderland Season 3 : Trailer

Since there isn’t a set date for the second season of Alice in Wonderland yet, the official trailer hasn’t come out yet. There should be a preview in a few months, since the following season doesn’t come out until December 2022.

Alice in Borderland Season 3 : Cast

The exact list of actors and actresses who will be in the next season is still under wraps. Also, we think it’s safe to say that most of the show’s main characters and regular cast members will probably be back for another season of the show. Keeping that in mind, take a look at the possible season group below:

  • Ryuhei Arisu, who was played from Kento Yamazaki
  • Nijir Murakami played Yuzuha Usagi, who was played by Tao Tsuchiya and Shuntar Chishiya.
  • Ann Rizuna is played by Ayaka Miyoshi.
  • Hikari Kuina, Dori Sakurada, Aya Asahina, and Suguru Niragi

Also, as was already said, a new character may be added to the group of the show.

Alice in Borderland Season 3 : Storyline

In Alice in Wonderland, allies were locked up in an empty Tokyo and possessed to engage in card games whilst they were there. After winning the initial game, they were given passes that were extended while they played more games.

People whose visas have passed are killed with red lasers shot from the sky, and Season 1 finished with a memory showing Momoka walking through the empty city with her friend Asahi while recording on her phone.

When Arisu went up to Aguni, he told him that Hatter, his best friend, was the one who suffered and not him as the witch. Arisu tells everyone that Momoka is the witch. Aguni tries to kill Niragi, but the other players are able to push Momoka into the fire and kill her.

While the players are leaving the burning hotel, Arisu or Usagi watch Asahi’s movies. Chisaya then draws the last card. Asahi killed himself. The movie shows that Asahi or Momoka went to a gamemaster’s den without being seen and that they work as traders for people who set up games so that they can get new visas.

When Usagi and Arisu find the lair, they find that each of the gamemasters have already been killed. An odd woman named Mira finally shows up and shows off a new set of face-card-collecting games.

The story of the next season hasn’t been talked about in detail by the writers yet. We’ll soon find out, because the second season starts in December 2022. As the second season of Alice within Borderland came to an end, so did Haro Aso’s manga. This left many people wondering what would happen next on the show.

There is a small chance that the Wonderland in Borderland Retry comic or Haro Aso’s other spin-off, Alice on Border Road, will be turned into anime, but nothing more than a hint. We do know that the mystery Joker card that was hinted at at the end of Season 2 will play a big part in the future, even though the writer has changed some things from the original story.

The Joker is the Ferryman in the comic, and he holds the key that lets the gang get back in the real world. If they stick to this, it opens up a lot of story options for the future who could completely change the show’s world.

On the other hand, the writers could choose to make up a whole new story over Arisu and her friends. There is plenty of room in the show’s world for this kind of artistic freedom. As long as the game master’s keep using Arisu’s gang as dolls, the “joker” may start acting like its name suggests. This could lead to a lot of bad tricks and plans.

The win of Arisu and her friends, who were former players who had turned into “citizens,” meant the end for the face-card game masters. When the players won the final face-card game, they were given the choice of becoming citizens, or they could turn down the offer and see what fate (in the present instance, their made-up world) would bring them.

Many characters turned down the chance to keep playing in safer conditions, but fresh faces Banda (Hayato Isomura) or Yaba (Katsuya Maiguma) chose to become residents. This suggests that they may be the new game masters over season three.

The plot of the next season’s story continues to be a secret. Rewatching the sequel’s finale, we discover that most of the survivors don’t remember what happened in the other realm at the end of the previous episode.

But Arisu and Usagi do, and they decide to go for a walk together after meeting at a vending machine. In the last picture, there are a bunch of playing cards, with the Joker card in the middle. If everything stays the same, we think that the subsequent season will pick up where the initial one left off.
