Atlanta spa shooting survivor Marcus Lyon describes how masseuse saved his life

One of many masseuses killed within the lethal rampage at three Atlanta-area spas saved her purchasers’ life in her last moments, a report stated.

Marcus Lyon, 31, stated he was a first-time buyer at Younger’s Asian Therapeutic massage in Acworth, which was one of many websites of the shooting spree, information station 11Alive reported.

About two minutes into his therapeutic massage appointment Tuesday, he heard the primary gunshots.

“Once I first heard the gunshot exit, I bought again up,” he informed the outlet.

“The [masseuse] bought in entrance of me and was like ‘wait, wait, wait,’ telling me to carry on for a second.”

The girl then opened the door as Lyon dove to the bottom and used a therapeutic massage mattress to defend himself from the gunfire.

“As soon as I hid behind the mattress, I heard one other gunshot and I noticed her fall. She bought shot within the head,” he stated.

“I may see her bleeding out. From there, I maintain listening to extra gunshots go off.”

He credited the unidentified masseuse with serving to him survive the shooting.

“I felt like she form of saved my life,” he informed the outlet.

Authorities in Cherokee County recognized the victims from the Acworth salon as Delaina Ashley Yaun, 33; Paul Andre Michels, 54; Daoyou Feng, 44; and Xiaojie Tan, 49.

Hyun Jung Grant, Quickly Chung Park 74; Suncha Kim, 69; and Yong Ae Yue, 63, have been later killed at two salons throughout the road from one another in Buckhead, officers stated.

Police have charged 21-year-old Robert Aaron Lengthy in reference to the killings.

Lyon stated that he considers himself “fortunate” that he made it out alive from the bloodbath.

“I felt like my mother was watching over me,” he informed 11Alive. “She died of stage four colon most cancers 2 years in the past so I felt like she was watching over me or one thing. It was loopy. I actually couldn’t consider it.”
