Bat-wielding Michigan grandma tries to block George Floyd protesters

A bat-wielding 75-year-old Michigan granny confronted off this week towards George Floyd protesters, blocking them from marching down a road in her prosperous neighborhood, dramatic footage exhibits.

Within the tense video, Karla Anderson waves the slugger at a crowd of dozens of demonstrators in East Grand Rapids on Wednesday — earlier than one in all them grabs the bat, and one other tries to restrain her, in accordance to NBC affiliate WOOD TV.

“I’m gonna defend my property. You haven’t any proper to riot!” she could be heard hollering at protesters.

Anderson later advised the native station — which dubbed her a “bat-brandishing grandma” — that she was merely attempting to defend her dwelling turf from doable vandals and looters.

“I simply merely said, you recognize, ‘You’re not going to burn down East [Grand Rapids],’” she declared, including she believed the far-left militant group Antifa was concerned within the protest. “This isn’t about Black Lives Matter, that is about racial division.”

The protest remained peaceable and there was no proof that Antifa was concerned, the station reported.

Because the demonstrators marched away, one man could be heard questioning aloud: “What the f–okay was that?”
