President Biden on Friday lifted sanctions against two prosecutors on the International Criminal Court who’re investigating US troops for potential conflict crimes in Afghanistan.
The Trump administration enacted the sanctions in September, additionally citing an investigation of potential Israeli misconduct.
Secretary of State Tony Blinken stated in an announcement, “As we speak, President Biden revoked Govt Order 13928 … ending the risk and imposition of financial sanctions and visa restrictions in reference to the Court.”
