Biden pleads for fast passage of his $1.9T COVID-19 stimulus bill

President Biden urged the Senate Saturday to rapidly cross his $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus bill, saying “We have now no time to waste.”

“If we act now we will lastly get forward of this virus,” he stated at a White Home podium in remarks that lasted lower than two minutes.

Home Democrats narrowly authorized the American Rescue Plan Act early Saturday morning on a 219 to 212 vote — with no assist from Republicans. Two Dems defected to oppose the huge spending measure.
