Big Sky Season 2 : Storyline

Big Sky was based on the books by C.J. Box called Hoyt/Dewell. The events within The Highway, and these came out in 2013, were shown in the first part of Season 1. The Kleinsasser plot from The Bitterroots, which came out in 2019, was explored in the second part of the season. That leaves three books that Season 2 might delve into. In 2011, the movie Back of Beyond told the story of Cody Hoyt.

Because he passed in the first episode, it was going to be hard to earn the show to include his story. In the 2015 movie Badlands, Cassie goes to North Dakota, a state where a young boy finds a big crime. The most likely to be easy to adapt is 2017’s Paradise Valley, which follows Ronald’s story, which was the main focus of Season 1.

That was a really bad way to end the first season. Ronald was caught but was able to get away. He is now on the run at Scarlett. Murray (via TV Insider) said, “There’s nonetheless a lot further to be uncovered” about the two those stars.

But Cassie is right behind them and won’t let them off the hook. These “bad guys” the fact that Reid talked about form a component of the mysterious gang that Ronald is involved with. That part of the story still has a lot of open questions that need to be answered.

In season one, Rick’s twin was also mentioned, which could be an interesting plot point if they decide to look into it. “There’s a great deal of backstory on the pilot episode about his [Rick’s] senior year and all the additional stuff,” Spencer shared with EW. “Why couldn’t they have a brother?” What, if any, ties does he have to the syndicate? What does Ronald have to say about this brother? That gives us a lot of options.

For season two, Reid told TV Insider, “there will be one to two big mystery arcs, and new characters will come aboard to shake things up in our world.” One of these new people could be Rick’s twin. If that the twin is the same, Lynch could come back.
