‘Billions’ co-creator Brian Koppelman defends Peter Luger after zero-star review

“Billions” co-creator Brian Koppelman has come to Peter Luger’s protection after the venerable Brooklyn steakhouse acquired a zero-star review within the New York Occasions.

Koppelman was noticed final week lunching at Luger’s with co-stars Paul Giamatti and Maggie Siff, and fellow showrunner David Levien, a day after the acclaimed “Rounders” screenwriter argued in regards to the joint with critic Pete Wells for an hour on his hit podcast, “The Second.”

After consuming at Luger’s on a break from the “Billions” set, Koppelman even tweeted that he’d give the place 4 stars.

“The steak was cooked completely. The edges have been precisely as I’d hoped. And the service was wonderful. four stars from me,” he enthused.

A Showtime hit, “Billions” is filming its fifth season round city, and has beforehand shot at Luger’s.
