Black Lives Matter is giving a Rhode Island senator an ultimatum to cut all ties with a controversial country club accused of solely admitting white individuals — although he has already denied being a member.
BLM Rhode Island informed WLNE that Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse has till subsequent Friday to both resign or cut ties with Newport-based Bailey’s Seashore Club — or it is going to make his life depressing, the station stated.
“We’ll go to his club, we’ll go to his workplace, we’ll go to his dwelling — wherever we want to go,” one of many chapter’s administrators, Mark Fisher, vowed.
“This is a matter that’s not going to go away and Senator Whitehouse wants to handle it, he wants to take it on,” Fisher stated.
