Box-Office France: Dragons passes the million, Elio does not take off

A very small start for the new Pixar. And it’s not much better for 28 years later.

The warmth of June may not have helped fill the cinemas this week.

Dragons Winds up again at the top of the French box office, for its second operating weekend, with 370,000 tickets sold, at the same time crossing the symbolic bar of the million entries (exactly 1.1 million).

A performance of the live action which recalls that of the Dragons Animated from 2010, with an almost identical evolution: -35 % for this new part against -34 % for the original film at the same stage. If the results are solid, they are nevertheless lower than the scores of opus 2 and 3 of the franchise, which displayed near the double of entries at this stage.
