Daily Bugle Video Teases Electro & Sandman’s Arrival

The promotional Daily Bugle newscast for Spider-Man: No Way Home shows Betty Brant teasing the arrivals of Electro and Sandman.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is officially set to debut in two weeks. The long-awaited Spidey threequel will see previous Spider-Man villains making their Marvel Cinematic Debut. Some of the villains Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will have to go up against include Electro and Sandman, who made their cinematic debuts in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3, respectively.

Previously seen footage revealed that the villains came in through the multiverse while Peter Parker botched Doctor Strange’s spell to protect Spider-Man’s identity. It’s unknown just how long after the ruined spell that the villains show up, but a newscast from the Daily Bugle reveals just how Sandman and Electro announce their arrival. In the video, Daily Bugle intern Betty Brant reveals that sandstorms and freak lightning strikes have overtaken Manhattan.

The video comes to a close with Betty Brant’s boss J. Jonah Jameson letting the reporter know that the freak events are orchestrated by Spider-Man, who is making it appear as if super villains have invaded New York.

Previous trailers have confirmed that J.K. Simmons’ J. Jonah Jameson will return in the upcoming film and will be on-site for some of the freak events that overtake New York.
