DMX’s family has spoken out to make clear rumors surrounding the late rapper’s funeral and grasp recordings.
In a press release launch Monday, the family warned fans of scammers attempting to boost cash for the “Get together Up” rapper’s memorial and acknowledged nobody was shopping for his masters.
“There have been a couple of rumors following our beloved one, Earl Simmons’, passing that we’d prefer to clear up,” the assertion defined.
“Nobody has purchased Earl’s masters,” the family stated, alluding to the circulating rumor that Beyoncé and Jay-Z bought the gathering for $10 million.
“We aren’t promoting any merch or elevating cash for Earl’s funeral. If anybody is requesting for cash for his funeral please bear in mind the individual is a scammer,” the assertion continued. “We are going to preserve the general public posted on funeral/memorial service preparations.”
The “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” rapper, who struggled with drug abuse and authorized points, died on Friday following an April 2 drug overdose that left him in a “vegetative state.” He was 50.
“Earl was a warrior who fought until the very finish. The rapper practically died after overdosing on a “powdered substance” within the car parking zone of a Westchester County lodge in 2016.
Within the wake of the incident, DMX checked himself into rehab in 2017 and 2019.
DMX is survived by his mom, Arnett Simmons, his siblings, his 15 youngsters and their moms.
