Adele filmed the concert portion of her upcoming CBS special in front of a celebrity-filled audience on Sunday, Page Six can exclusively reveal.
“Adele One Night Only” host Oprah Winfrey introduced the Grammy winner, 33, outside the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles for a performance in front of guests including Drake, Kris Jenner, Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi, Lizzo, James Corden, Sarah Paulson, Gordon Ramsay and Gayle King.
A source told us that the 300-person audience also included Adele’s ex-husband, Simon Konecki, and their 9-year-old son, Angelo, who got a special onstage shout-out from his mom.
The English singer performed four tracks from her forthcoming album, “30,” including the recently released lead single, “Easy On Me.”
“[The] songs [were] about being yourself and not caring,” the source divulged, adding that Adele also sang cuts from her 2008 album, “19,” that “she’s never done live before” in addition to hits from 2011’s “21” and 2015’s “25.”
We’re told Adele wore a tight mermaid dress for the taping, a fashion choice that she seemed to regret.
“She couldn’t sit down in it and made it a thing,” the source told us. “She was throwing F-bombs all around. Hilarious.”
Page Six exclusively revealed earlier this month that the entertainer had a “massive” TV special in the works. CBS confirmed the news days later, revealing in a press release that the two-hour special will also include an interview with Winfrey about Adele’s “new album, the stories behind the songs, life after divorce, weight loss and raising her son.”
The Griffith Observatory closed its doors to visitors from Friday to Sunday to prepare for the highly anticipated concert event.
“Adele One Night Only” airs Sunday, Nov. 14, at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
Reps for Adele, CBS, Harpo Productions and Fulwell 73 Productions did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
