Members of a California school board resigned en masse after they had been caught mocking parents throughout a public video assembly about re-opening colleges shuttered through the pandemic.
All 4 members, together with president Lisa Brizendine of the Oakley Elementary School District board, resigned Friday, based on a Fox Information report.
The board members had been caught on video complaining about parents who needed lecturers to return to their lecture rooms. Brizendine appeared to mock parents who “need their babysitters again” through the Wednesday assembly which trustees thought was personal.
“The feedback made weren’t in alignment with our imaginative and prescient and are positively not what any of us stand for as leaders. I do know that we misplaced belief with the group. I can’t make excuses for what occurred or why it occurred,” mentioned Faculties Superintendent Greg Hetrick in a press release.
Brisendine later issued an apology. The opposite members of the board — Kim Beede, Erica Ippolito and Richie Masadas — resigned Friday.
