Fire department rescues dog that fell into partially frozen Long Island pond

This pooch lived as much as its title.

Authorities launched a daring rescue of a dog named Fortunate on Sunday after it fell into a partially frozen pond at Hewlett’s Grant Park in Nassau County, LI.

Specifically skilled members of the Hewlett Fire Department arrived on the pond shortly after 9 a.m. and have been in a position to safely attain the Golden Retriever.

They plucked Fortunate out of the frigid water and took it to an animal hospital for remark, police mentioned.
