Prime Video has given the go-ahead for Good Omens season 3, and there are some exciting new details about the last set of shows. The movie Good Omens has been based on the book of the same name by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
It’s about Aziraphale, an angel (Michael Sheen) or demonic being the Crowley (David David Tennant), who have become close over the many years they’ve been on Earth and now work together to stop the annihilation of the world.
This has made people even more excited about the show’s reentry to Amazon’s Prime Video service once the end of the second season. There’s already a lot to talk about in terms of season 3 of Good Omens.
Good Omens Season 3 : Release Date
It might be a while before the next season of Good Omens comes out. The first season of the show came out in 2019, but its sequel wasn’t even mentioned until 2021. This was partly because of how hard the show’s online fans worked to get it done. After season 2 was announced, it took an additional two years to make.
There were four years between the first and second seasons of Good Omens. The good news is that Variety says shooting for the third season will begin sometime in early 2024. This could mean that it comes out in late 2024 or early 2025, which isn’t so bad after all.

Good Omens Season 3 : Cast
Michael Sheen as an Aziraphale as well as David Tennant as an Crowley are must-haves for season 3 of Good Omens. Aside from the main two characters, it’s not clear who else from the group of Good Omens might be back for a third season.
There were a lot of changes in the group for the second season. Some stars came back, others left, some stayed but played different parts, and some new actors joined. Jon Hamm as Gabriel or Shelley Conn as an Beelzebub seem like the most likely actors to come back, though even they aren’t sure since Conn took over the part from Anna Maxwell Martin. Here is a list of group members from season 2 who might come back to feed season 3 for now:

But the only individual who won’t be back is director Douglas the author, who said he was leaving the show before it was renewed. Mackinnon has produced all of the episodes of this David Tennant along with Michael Sheen show so far, and he and author Neil Gaiman have worked together a lot on making the show. But after posting a picture of the Good Omens scene on Instagram, Mackinnon said in the critiques, “I’m not working on this show anymore.”
Good Omens Season 3 : Storyline
The next season of Good Omens began with the plot for season 3 already planned. That one scene turned the whole show upside down and turned Good Omens from a mostly funny show into a sad one that broke people’s hearts.
It turned out that Gabriel came to Earth to find a.k. someone he secretly loved. For most of the second season, Crowley and Aziraphale helped Gabriel. But this narrative really showed what the book is about. This show is about how the fallen angel Aziraphale or the devil Crowley finally tell each other they love each other.
There were hints about what will happen in season 3 of Good Omens, and it looks like the end of the world is coming again. He and Crowley seem to be at odds with each other, but they are supposed to save the world even though they can’t get along.
The third season of Good Omens will have all the same things as the first two, but the stakes will be even higher, and the connection among Aziraphale and Crowley will take a back seat to a new Armageddon situation.
Most likely. There is no doubt that the ending in Good Omens season 2 has the best way to get people to look forward to the next season. When our primary couple ultimately kiss, they break up right away and go in completely different ways. Either it’s setting up an extra season that’s already being made, or fans are being nearly begged by Prime Video to keep the show going.
In all honesty, it could work—it has in the past for Good Omens fans. What if it gets a third season? The show probably wouldn’t be that bold as to do the same thing twice. It looks like the possible new season will focus on Aziraphale and Crowley’s probable meeting in Season 3.
However, Aziraphale must first handle his new duties in Heaven while simultaneously endeavouring to uncover a new head for Hell before this can happen. In order to get Gabriel and Beelzebub to take back their old roles as leaders in Heaven and Hell, Aziraphale might first try to find them.
Aziraphale may also try to convince the other demons and angels that they can live together, like Gabriel and Beelzebub did and like he did with Crowley. Neil Gaiman, the director of Good Omens, said in a Tumblr comment in June of 2023 that Season 3 is centred on the unfinished sequel to the book. He also said that the second season was supposed to set up what would happen in Season 3: “Terry Pratchett and I talked about writing a follow-up to ‘Good Omens.'”
A lot of the ideas we talked about for the second movie—not story ideas, but character and setting ideas—made it into the very first TV show. The second time is not the next one. We planned something together with the great John Finnemore that lets us smoothly move from the final page of book one to where the second book would have begun.
The story about the second book will be turned into a third TV show if one ever comes out. What does Season 3’s storyline look like? Metatron tells Aziraphale at the end of Season 2 that “The Second Coming,” or “The Second Coming,” is the next step in the plan. This seems like the most likely next step for the story. That being the case, Jesus Christ might be a few of the new figures that Season 3 will be mostly about.
