Weisbenner graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in Economics and Mathematics in 1995. From the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in economics in 1999. As per reports, his achievements include a Research Associate Position at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), which he held since 2009.
