Iconic Borscht Belt comic Jackie Mason dead at 93

It turned an enormous story — he’d walked out on the Queen Mum. So he invented a narrative that he couldn’t keep there anymore as a result of he was sick.”

His famed one-man present, “The World In response to Me!” made him a triumph of Broadway within the 1980s, and in 1968, he was banned from “The Ed Sullivan Present” after the host mistakenly believed Mason gave him the center finger throughout an interruption.
