Indian police make ‘covidiots’ write ‘I am sorry’ 500 times for violating lockdown

These vacationers have been put in coronavirus detention — and made to write strains.

Police in India issued old-school punishments to dunces flouting strict quarantine guidelines — making them write out “I didn’t observe lockdown. I am sorry” at the least 500 times, in keeping with a report.

Uttarakhand Police’s Vinod Kumar instructed the Hindustan Times that his officers gave the bizarre punishment to 10 vacationers from Israel, Australia and Mexico who have been caught heading to a preferred spot by the Ganga River to “chill.”

He obtained his males to carry “50 to 60 clean pages” — and warned the vacationers that if they didn’t write the apology “they are going to be blacklisted, which is able to bar them from getting into India once more.”

“They then agreed to the punishment and wrote the apology out 500 times on the spot,” Kumar instructed the paper.

“They have been then let off with a stern warning and instructed to not enterprise out with none cause,” the police official stated.

He instructed them it was a “gentle punishment” — with different officers in India filmed flogging those that broke the nation’s lockdown.

It isn’t the primary sudden punishment there, both, with earlier violators being made to do squats, push-ups and sit-ups on the street.
