A recent social media post floating around might indicate a future MCU film will feature Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man.
Following Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans are anxious to see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield come back in some capacity. One announced project that would make sense is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, helmed by Spider-Man director Sam Raimi.
A recent social media post leads to some Marvel fans thinking that Tobey Maguire will be back in Sam Raimi’s upcoming Doctor Strange film. The Instagram Story featured Marianna Torres and Manolo Rey, the Portuguese dub voice actors of Scarlet Witch and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. Many Marvel characters are rumored to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Certain Fox characters showing up in the film would be easier to pull off since Disney now owns the studio. The same can’t be said for Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker because of Sony’s deal with Marvel, which currently calls for one more Spider-Man appearance in a proper Marvel Studios film.
Here is the synopsis for Spider-Man: No Way Home:
For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.
Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.
