John Cusack says he confronted police batons in Chicago after attempting to movie a burning automotive during a protest over George Floyd’s demise.
The “America’s Sweetheart” star, 53, posted uneven footage on Twitter of a burning automotive and stated police “came at” him with batons in an try to cease him.
“Cops didn’t like me filming the burning automotive in order that they came at me with batons,” he tweeted on Sunday. “Hitting my bike. Ahhm right here’s the audio.”
Within the video, Cusack — who lives in Chicago — might be heard shouting “All proper, all proper, all proper, I’m going” as a police officer screams, “Get your bike out of right here” whereas showing to strike the bicycle with his baton.
Cusack’s rep had no remark.
Protests have erupted across the US following the demise of Floyd after white Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was seen on video pinning him down with a knee to his neck. Chauvin was later fired and charged with homicide and manslaughter.
