Journalist says Prince visited him to ‘gobble’ supply of Percocet

A journalist claims Prince as soon as visited his house simply to gorge on his stash of prescribed opioids.

In “This Factor Referred to as Life,” writer Neal Karlen recounts his decades-long relationship with the musical celebrity.

In 1997, Karlen writes that he had damaged 5 bones in his leg whereas Rollerblading and was housebound for months. At some point Prince known as — the 2 hadn’t chatted for 4 months — and had a dialog about “a dozen matters” together with Karlen’s “limitless” supply of Percocet drugs that he had been prescribed post-surgery.

The “Let’s Go Loopy” singer stated he needed to come over instantly which Karlen notes, “was not in character.

“He’d been to my house however not for just a few years, and for him to schlep up to now to pay a bit of sympathy name felt … significant.”

Seems it was significant for a special cause. The diminutive rocker needed the capsule supply.

“I didn’t even have time to supply him a glass of water earlier than he spied the white Walgreen’s bottle of drugs in my front room,” he writes.

“Prince devoured a 3rd of the bottle like they had been M&Ms, and my coronary heart sank. It was f—king true. I’d heard rumors for years that he’d been on and off heavy painkillers ever because the ‘Purple Rain’ tour a dozen years earlier than,” he continued.

On April 20, 2016, Prince died of an unintended overdose of fentanyl. He was 57.

A spokesperson for the singer’s property declined to remark.

“This Factor Referred to as Life” is in bookstores now.
