Judgemental Hai Kya Movie Review And Rating | Kangana Ranaut, Rajkummar Rao – Telegraph Star

The two of the most versatile actors of the Bollywood industry are cast opposite to each other for the film Judgmental Hai Kya. It is produced by Ekta Kapoor, who is a proven performer as far as production is concerned.

This film finds its setting in the comedy-thriller genre. Earlier the film was titled as “Mental hai kya” but on account of the protest by some human right activists, it was renamed later on.

Although the picture is of the comedy genre still it managed to give a strong social message. This movie has dealt with the area which is not often touched by the Bollywood makers.

Bobby the female lead in the film is played by Kangna is suffering from acute psychosis in her adult years. She earns a living working as a dubbing artist for movies, where she is the voice of the female lead characters. But it is too much for her slender mind, she started getting hugely impacted by the characters she dubs for and imagines herself in place of the character. Follows a treatment of her which is set to bring a tinge of comedy.

The new tenants of Bobby Keshav and Rima (Rajkummar Rao and Amyra Dastur) are a married couple. And in comes the time for a murder in the story and Bobby believes Keshav is the person behind it. Is it her over-obsessed nature to imagine movie characters that made her believe so. There is certainly a criminal amongst the two. The director has managed to somehow link the story with the epic Ramayana.

Performance Of The Star Cast

Kangana is phenomenal in her role she has absolutely nailed it, she has adapted to the character so well that it appears to be her original character.

Raj Kumar Rao has also managed to do justice to his role. Based on his previous track record, expectations were on a high from him and he has certainly lived up to the expectations. He has perfectly dwelled himself into his uncanny character.

My Rating: 3.5/5
