Kelly Osbourne was ‘utterly broken’ after relapsing over the last year

Kelly Osbourne says 2021 has been “the hardest year” of her life after relapsing.

The former “Fashion Police” star, 37, made the confession via Instagram Stories on Tuesday, further admitting, “I was compliantly and utterly broken.”

“I am still putting myself back together again,” she continued. “I am happy. I am healthy. That’s all that should matter.”

The message was in response to a recent email Osbourne received from the National Enquirer.

As seen in a screenshot shared to her Instagram Stories, the publication allegedly reached out to Osbourne for comment on an insensitive story they were planning to run.

They claimed she put on “a tremendous amount of weight after slimming down significantly earlier this year” and has been “dealing with the stress of her relapse by eating.”

The end of the email asked Osbourne to reply directly if she wished to comment, and to include editor-in-chief Dan Dolan.

“This is what I have to deal with on a daily basis,” Osbourne explained. “Feel free to email Dan and tell him what you think about them fat shaming me.”

Dolan did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Osbourne previously spoke about her relapse during a guest appearance on “Red Table Talk” with Jada Pinkett Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris.

The TV personality said at the time that she had “made it all the way through the pandemic” but relapsed after seeing a couple enjoying a glass of champagne at a pool one day.

“I was, like, ‘Oh, I can do that, too,’” she recalled. “And then the next day, I had two glasses, and then the day after that it was bottles.”
