Kishore Das, an Assamese actor, passed away at 31. As per reports, he took his last breath on Sunday, July 3, 2022. Several actors and politicians from Assam mourned the actor’s untimely death on Twitter and send condolences to his family. Taking to Twitter, Ranjeet Kumar Dass wrote that he is completely shattered to hear the news of the noted actor and called his death a tragic loss. Political parties like BJP and Congress also paid tributes to the late actor. Questions like what was Kishore Das cause of death and how did he die have flooded social media. According to reports, the actor was battling cancer for a long time. He was admitted to a Chennai hospital where he had been undergoing treatment since March this year. Apart from fighting cancer, Kishore Das was also infected with Covid disease at the time of his death. It was an indeed long battle but despite all the best possible treatment, the actor could not defeat it and succumbed to the disease.
The entire Assam entertainment industry is stunned to learn about the sudden passing of the young actor. It has come forward that Kishore’s final rites will take place on Saturday evening in Chennai. Because of the Covid protocols, his mortal remains could not be transported to his native town and as a result, it will occur in Chennai only. Kishore was a popular face in Assam. He has appeared in more than 300 music videos.
Das rose to popularity for his performances in hit Assamese television shows including Nedekha Fagun, Bidhata, and Bandhun. These shows were reportedly telecasted on local entertainment networks. Hailing from Assam, Das mainly worked in the Assamese entertainment industry. The 31-year-old actor was popular for his song titled ‘Turut Turut’ in Assamese. It had become one of the most super hit songs in the language. Kishore Das was last seen in the Assamese movie Dada Tumi Dusto Bor.
Besides, he was also honored with the 2019 Candid Young Achievement award and the Asianet Icon Award for Most Popular Actor in 2020-2021. He had a huge fan following on social media and he loved interacting with his fans. His loved ones and fans have flooded the internet with tributary posts and messages. Reports state that Assam chief minister Himanta Biswas communicated with the Tamil Nadu government to make arrangements to send Kishore’s body to Assam but due to restrictions, it could not happen.
