Lilo & Stitch rushes to the billion at the world box office
With almost $ 800 million in revenue in three weeks, the live action remake is the third biggest success of the year 2025 in the cinema worldwide.
Lilo & Stitch continues to hit the international box office, with a global cumulative recipe which now reaches $ 772.6 million after its third weekend. Disney’s film is fast approaching the $ 800 million in global revenue, a CAP it is expected to cross in the coming days, with the billion in sight. A threshold that the film is certain today to reach a long time. Lilo & Stitch will then become the fourth Disney remake in real shots to cross this CAP, after The Lion King (1.66 billion the dollars EN 2019), Beauty and the beast (1.26 billion a 2017) one Aladdin (1.05 billion EN 2019).

For the time being, this is the 5th biggest cinema success of the year 2025, doubling Captain America : Brave new world.
The 8th part of Ethan Hunt’s adventures is ahead of the passing times of The Dead Reckoningwhich had finished $ 572 million in global revenue in 2024. Mission : Impossible : The Last Reckoning should do better but will have trouble getting the franchise record holder, Falloutwhich had finished above 800 million (in 2018). The catch is that the film’s production budget is so high (estimated between 300 and $ 400 million) that The Last Reckoning has almost no chance of reaching its profitability threshold with its room recipes.
Le budget the Ballerina is clearly less (90 million). But the film derived from John Wickproduced by Lionsgate and featuring Ana de Armas, is experiencing a delicate start -up. Small launch at the US box office and an average international start at 26 million on 82 foreign markets (notably thanks to China and the United Kingdom): the action film accumulates for the moment 51 million dollars at the world box office. Suffice to say that Ballerina should end between John Wick ($ 80 million in 2014) and John Wick 2 (170 million in 2017) and very far from the franchise record, John Wick 4 (440 million in 2023).
We can note that Karate Kid: Legends is a little failure for Sony: the martial arts film, which hoped to surf the success of Cobra Kaihas only garnered $ 10 million in 57 international markets, for a cumulative abroad of 38.6 million. In total, the film displays only $ 74 million in global revenue after two weeks and risks ending up far from the score that the 2010 reboot had managed to generate (350 million global revenues). Conversely, the box of Destination Finale : Bloodlines is confirmed. New Line/Warner Bros production has made a massacre in international rooms, with $ 133.6 million in US revenue, for a cumulative $ 257.2 million at the world box office. Quite simply the record of the franchise, far ahead of the 4th opus (180 million in 2009).
