Man, 95, accused of fatally shooting assisted living center employee

A 95-year-old man living at an assisted living facility in Colorado was arrested Wednesday after allegedly shooting an employee who owed him cash, authorities stated.

Officers responded to Legacy Assisted Living in Lafayette, Colo. round 7:15 a.m. on a name of a shooting, Lafayette police stated on Twitter.

Contained in the foyer of the center, they discovered an employee wounded from a gunshot. The suspect, recognized as 95-year-old Okie Payne, was positioned in his room after which taken into custody, cops stated.
