The person who shot the consequential video of Ahmaud Arbery’s killing is now receiving threats amid cries for his arrest, his legal professional mentioned.
The revelation comes after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation revealed the id of the videographer, William “Roddie” Bryan, and introduced he’s underneath investigation.
“Mr. Bryan, his fiancee, his kids, his siblings and different members of the family, mates and neighbors now dwell in concern even supposing Mr. Bryan has dedicated no crime and absolutely cooperated with the investigation into the shooting,” Bryan’s legal professional, Kevin Gough, mentioned in an announcement to First Coast Information in Glynn County Friday.
Bryan, a neighbor of accused killers Greg McMichael and his son Travis, captured video of the Feb. 23 shooting whereas trailing Arbery from his automobile.
The video ignited mass public outcry when it leaked to the general public earlier this month, resulting in the McMichaels’ arrest.
Gough mentioned Bryan has now misplaced his job, and disputed claims he was armed throughout the dispute.
“Opposite to irresponsible media reviews, Mr. Bryan was unarmed on the time of the shooting. Roddie is a household man, NASCAR fan, and enjoys rock and roll. He isn’t now, and by no means has been, a ‘vigilante,’” Gough mentioned.
