Massachusetts couple dead after 100-foot fall at Acadia National Park

A Massachusetts couple who went climbing at Acadia National Park in Maine died after they apparently plunged about 100 ft from icy cliffs on Dorr Mountain, authorities mentioned. 

Wayne Beckford, 28, and Kassandra Caceres, 30, of Rutand, Mass., arrived in Bar Harbor, Maine, on March 16, the National Park Service mentioned in a information launch. 

They have been final heard from round midday Thursday, when Caceres informed relations, over the cellphone, that she was enthusiastic about climbing the close by Cadillac Mountain. 

Issues arose Friday afternoon when the couple didn’t try of their lodge or return to their automotive.
