Chilling video captured rescuers desperately attempting to bust the windshield of a Mexican Air Force jet that crashed at takeoff, killing at least six army personnel, in keeping with reviews.
The Learjet 45 slammed into the bottom after taking off about 9:45 a.m. Sunday from El Lencero Airport in Emiliano Zapata, close to town of Xalapa in Veracruz state, reported Reuters, which cited the protection secretariat.
Dramatic footage exhibits rescue personnel attempting to interrupt the windshield of the burning plane because it spews flames and thick smoke.
The six victims haven’t been recognized, and the army will perform an investigation, the ministry added.
It was unclear how many individuals have been aboard the doomed flight.
“We categorical our deepest condolences to our comrades in arms,” the secretariat stated, in keeping with Agence France-Presse.
