Minnesota man busted stealing $1,200 worth of Girl Scout cookies: cops

A Minnesota man was busted for allegedly stealing greater than $1,200 worth of Girl Scout cookies, authorities stated.

Joel Whittaker, 43, of Oronoco, appeared in courtroom Monday after allegedly attempting to drive off with 23 instances of cookies, information station WCCO reported.

Police stated they responded to a grocery retailer alarm name Saturday night time in Rochester.

Officers pulled Whittaker’s automobile over and observed his backseat was full of Girl Scout cookies, the outlet reported.

He advised police he had been dumpster diving and found the treats in an unlocked loading dock.

Officers searched his car and in addition allegedly discovered stolen license plates, bolt cutters, a used meth pipe along with a small quantity of heroin.

He was arrested on felony counts of housebreaking and theft, the outlet reported.

Whittaker was launched beneath situations that embody submitting to random drug testing.
