The 2 years between The Pressure Awakens and The Final Jedi are what I like to consider because the golden age of Snoke fan theories. Launched as a shadowy, mysterious and extremely highly effective hologram, the character appeared like he’d be the core of the brand new Star Wars trilogy. As such, there have been theories that he was the legendary Darth Plagueis, that we’d see his house planet and even that he was secretly a girl.
All of this theorizing was put to mattress succinctly when Kylo Ren chopped him in half, and the revelation that he was merely a clone puppeteered by Palpatine put a full cease to the gossip. However there’s nonetheless life left within the previous canine but, it appears.
Star Wars followers are theorizing that Snoke might have been a clone of Peter Cushing’s Grand Moff Tarkin. Tarkin was the commander of the Loss of life Star and appeared in A New Hope and Rogue One (in dodgy CGI kind). He died when the primary Loss of life Star exploded, in fact, however now everyone knows that being in the course of a huge exploding planet-sized house station isn’t as deadly because it was once.
Right here’s the reasoning behind this concept. Firstly, they appear vaguely alike, with blue eyes and sunken cheeks. Secondly they.. uh.. Nicely, to be trustworthy, that’s it so far as the argument goes. I suppose you might fan-craft a concept that Palpatine acknowledged Tarkin’s expertise and realized he’d be a great candidate for a puppet. However that doesn’t clarify why Snoke has innate Pressure powers and Tarkin doesn’t (until Tarkin himself by no means realized he was Pressure Delicate).
So, whereas it’s a pleasant thought, I don’t assume this concept goes to pan out. Plus, one character surviving being blown up in a Loss of life Star by magical cloning know-how is dangerous sufficient, not to mention two.
