A New York lawmaker was arrested Tuesday after allegedly suffocating his estranged spouse, police stated.
State Senator Luis Sepulveda, a Democrat representing a part of the Bronx, was charged with prison obstruction of respiration, stated New York Police Division spokeswoman Detective Sophia Mason, The Related Press reported.
Mason added that police have been referred to as to the state senator’s dwelling within the Bronx Saturday morning for a home incident.
