North Carolina teacher dies unexpectedly in classroom

A North Carolina elementary teacher died unexpectedly in her classroom simply weeks into the brand new faculty 12 months, officers mentioned.

Cindy Grindstaff, 50, a fifth-grade teacher at W.A. Younger Elementary, had been in the college Wednesday morning for a college coaching session, The Information Herald of Morganton reported.

No college students have been in the classroom or being taught by means of Zoom on the time of her loss of life, the outlet reported.,

The reason for loss of life wasn’t launched for the educator, who has been employed with the district since 2002, the outlet reported.

Burke County Public Faculties Superintendent Larry Putnam knowledgeable workers members of her loss of life in an e-mail.

“It’s with a heavy coronary heart that I share with you some unhappy information,” Putnam wrote.

“This morning at W.A. Younger Elementary, Ms. Cindy Grindstaff, Fifth-grade teacher, unexpectedly handed away in her classroom. I ask that you just maintain Cindy’s sister, Tracy Poole, Fifth-grade teacher at Hildebran, and her household in your prayers.”

The district had voted to begin the college 12 months with distant courses that started on Aug. 17, information station WBTV reported.
