The latest TV spot for Spider-Man: No Way Home features Peter Parker threatening to send Jamie Foxx’s Electro back home.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is finally set to unleash the multiverse upon us this week. The long-awaited Spidey threequel will be the first film in the franchise to feature villains from previous Spider-Man iterations. Joining Tom Holland this time around are Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, and Jamie Foxx’s Electro. Though Lizard and Sandman have been confirmed to be in the film, it’s unclear if Rhys Ifans and Thomas Haden Church will reprise their roles, respectively.
We know through the trailers that the Spider-Man villains have unleashed thanks to Doctor Strange’s botched spell. Now, the latest TV spot sees Peter Parker threatening to send Jamie Foxx’s Electro back to his universe.
The spot also teases Electro’s brand new, Stark-tech influenced suit, as well as comic-accurate yellow lightning strikes. The last time we saw the villain was in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, where he was electric blue. Funnily enough, the latest TV spot drops alongside the same day as Jamie Foxx’s birthday.
Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield heavily rumored to appear.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters on December 17, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film as well as the possible future of Jamie Foxx in the MCU, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
