Prince William insists Prince Philip is ‘OK’ after sixth night in hospital

Prince William mentioned Monday that Prince Philip is “OK” after his 99-year-old grandfather spent a sixth night in a London hospital.

“Sure, he’s OK, they’re maintaining a tally of him,” William mentioned throughout a tour of an English vaccination heart when requested about Philip, who is the husband of Queen Elizabeth II.

Reporters mentioned William delivered the hopeful information with a wink, though video instructed he could have simply blinked whereas adjusting a masks.

Philip was admitted to the non-public King Edward VII’s Hospital in London on Tuesday as “a precautionary measure” after feeling unwell, Buckingham Palace mentioned on the time.

His sickness is not believed to be associated to COVID-19. Each he and the queen, 94, obtained a primary dose of a vaccine in early January and have remained in a so-called “HMS Bubble” at Windsor Fortress.

Philip, often known as the Duke of Edinburgh, married the then-Princess Elizabeth in 1947 and is the longest-serving royal consort in British historical past. He and the queen have 4 youngsters, eight grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

He retired from public duties in 2017, not often showing in public.
