Richard Linklater films the new wave in action: trailer
Netflix will be released the film telling the shooting of a breath of breath, at the end of the 1950s, in November.

After a first teaser unveiled during the Cannes, where the film was presented in competition, Netflix has just posted the official trailer of New waveAmerican filmmaker Richard Linklatertrue declaration of love to Jean-Luc Godard.
The director of Boyhood tells here the mythical shooting ofOut of breath (1959) and the flamboyant beginnings of the movement that was going to upset world cinema: the new French wave.

Linklater depicts a youngster Godard criticism at Cinema notebookshis stormy relationship with the producer Georges de Beauregardwho almost abandoned the filmmaker’s eccentric methods, as well as his complicity with the other figures of the new wave: François Truffaut, Jacques Rivette, Jean-Pierre Melville (come to make a cameo in Out of breath). The film also explores the complex relationship of the director with Jean Sebergwhich he refused to treat like a Hollywood star, and the ease with which he directed the facetious Belmondo.
Turned almost entirely in French, with very few dialogues in English, New wave pays tribute to a generation of visionary filmmakers – Claude Chabrol has Agnès Vardapassing by Eric Rohmer – whose influence marked in depth the New Hollywood, of Martin Scorsese has Brian de Palma et Quentin Tarantino.
New wave will be entitled to a cinema outing in the United States the October 31in order to be able to compete in the Oscars, and will then be available on Netflix in France the Next November 14.
