Savannah Guthrie back in ‘In the present day’ show studio after self-quarantine

Savannah Guthrie returned to the “In the present day” show studio Tuesday after nearly two weeks working from dwelling after a coronavirus scare.

“That is studio 1A — I haven’t been right here in some time!” the 48-year-old host mentioned as she opened NBC’s breakfast show, having been given the all-clear after self-isolating with “a little bit sore throat” and “some sniffles.”

“It feels good to be in the identical room,” she advised co-host Hoda Kotb. “I want we had been nearer like we used to snuggle up,” she mentioned, noting the hole between them due to social-distancing pointers.

Guthrie had earlier joked on “In the present day in New York” that the toughest half was having to squeeze herself into a decent gown in comparison with the comfy apparel she may put on whereas broadcasting from her basement.

“You know the way onerous it was to not placed on sweatpants this morning?” she requested, joking that as she received dressed, she questioned, “Is it going to zip up or is it not after two weeks of elastic pants?”
