A stunning concept design shows Scott Eastwood as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine replacement for the MCU movies.
Now that Disney has its hands on Fox’s various properties, including the X-Men, it’s only a matter of time before Wolverine is folded into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While it would be a dream come true to see Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine interacting with the likes of Ant-Man and Spider-Man, it’s highly unlikely that will be the case. Jackman officially retired from the role in 2017’s Logan, which acted as a swan song for the iconic mutant.
With Marvel Studios’ future with the X-Men currently unknown, fans have been speculating who could replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Numerous names have been discussed, including some by former X-Men director Matthew Vaughn. One name, however, that keeps popping up is Scott Eastwood, who last starred in Guy Ritchie’s Wrath of Man.
While it’s unknown if Scott Eastwood will replace Hugh Jackman as the Canadian mutant, artist Mizuri has speculated what that transformation could look like.
Seeing as it’s unlikely Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine, Scott Eastwood would be the perfect replacement. Not only does Eastwood have the needed physique but he also holds the charisma needed to perfect the role.
Here is the official synopsis for Logan:
