In fact, if Season 2 of Shadow and Bone is based on Bardugo’s second Grisha novel, Siege and Storm, as Series A was inspired on her first book, Shadow and Bone, we have a fairly clear sense of what will happen.

Without revealing too much away, it’s likely that the Darkling, who—as we witnessed at the end of one—now has the power to summon an army of darkness anytime he pleases, will foil Alina and Mal’s efforts to blend in. Alina is forced to choose between the two sides of this civil war between the Darkling’s supporters and the crown’s supporters before the dramatic conclusion.
