Somebody Somewhere Season 2 Storyline:
Somebody, Somewhere is a humor that follows the life of a girl named Sam who is having a hard time after her sister Holly dies. Sam would then try to cope with the death of her sister by coming up with new ways to live.
At the conclusion of Season 1, we discover that the trying to sing group’s future is in danger, and the charity starts to bother Sam and Tricia again. Sam’s best friend Joel, meanwhile, makes the decision to pursue his goals and work on his friendship with Michael.
Everett’s 40-something Sam goes to her home town to care for her sick sister, who dies soon after. So, it’s only natural that Sam deals with the emptiness in her heart and the loss of her sense of purpose with a lot of grace and the kind of humor that can only come from a lifetime of trauma.
Shows like “Somebody, Somewhere” are easy to describe with words like “tenderness, grace, and warmth.” But its dry sense of humor is what makes people like it more. Someone, somewhere, cheers for both big and small dreams, like the dream of one day owning a Vitamix.
Sam finds a friend in her coworker and former high school classmate Joel, who is played by the very underrated Jeff Hiller, and in the charming master of ceremonies and soil scientist Fred Rococo (played by the delightful Murray Hill).
Together, they work through their unfulfilled hopes and broken dreams as they move towards new ones. Even though they are in their 40s, they are still on journeys of self-discovery, which constitutes one of the most hopeful things about Somebody Somewhere. After all, we don’t learn everything there is to know about life in our 20s and then turn into mummies. After turning 30, life goes on.
As Sam struggles with loss and learning to live with it, she also becomes a strong support for her family, especially her other sister Tricia (Mary Catherine Garrison), mom Mary Jo (Jane Drake Brody), and dad Ed (Edward James Olmos) (Mike Hagerty).
Sam helps Tricia as she goes through a divorce from her husband Rick (Danny McCarthy), who had been cheating on her with her best friend and business partner Charity (Heidi Johanningmeier).
Sam also has to deal with her relationship with her alcoholic mother, Mary Jo, who can’t handle the loss of her daughter, and with her quiet father, Ed, who deals with his grief by denying it and acting friendly in unhealthy amounts.
In season two, this strange group of people will go back to the small town that has a Schitt’s Creek-like feel, hopefully with more core and joy.
As Sam quits her day job and Joel realizes that he does want the conventional marital relationship, a residence, and all that jazz, we will get to see in which their newfound knowledge and energy take them in the future. We will also get to see how the relationship between Tricia, Rick, and Charity changes after everything goes wrong.

Reviews:
You’re trying to make up for the low scores. If you’ve always felt safe in your own skin, if your family has never been broken or sad, and if you don’t care about other people, don’t read this. If you’ve already lived half your life and like cheering for the underdogs, this is the tv series for you.
The characters change and grow in ways that make sense. While I was waiting for more episodes to come out, I watched most of them twice.
