South Carolina teen accused of trying to break into prison 

A South Carolina teen was nabbed trying to break into a jail — to ship backpacks full of booze, weed, cellphones and different contraband, officers mentioned.

Nathaniel Jose Perez, 19, was discovered between an interior and outer fence Wednesday on the Tyger River Correctional Establishment in Enoree, information station WHNS reported.

State correctional officers mentioned a big gap had been lower into the fence, and items of his garments had been caught within the razor wire.

Perez — who was bleeding from razor wire cuts — had 4 backpacks with him full of marijuana, tobacco, alcohol, cellphones and different gadgets, authorities mentioned.

Officers mentioned they imagine he had been trying to drop off the illicit gadgets to inmates in trade for cash.

He was taken to the hospital for therapy for his cuts earlier than he was booked in Spartanburg County detention middle, the outlet reported.

Perez was charged with trespassing onto a correctional facility, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and making an attempt to furnish prisoners with contraband.
