Suspected poacher trampled to death by elephants in South Africa

A suspected rhino poacher was killed in an elephant stampede at a South African nationwide park on Saturday, officers stated.

The person was amongst three suspected poachers noticed by rangers at Kruger Nationwide Park, the parks service stated in a Sunday press launch.

The trio fled once they have been seen, and through their escape, ran right into a breeding herd of elephants, authorities stated.

One of many suspects was arrested, whereas one other was discovered trampled to death.

A 3rd suspect, who sustained a watch damage, escaped and remained on the lam late Sunday.

Rangers discovered a rifle, an axe and a bag that was left behind by the alleged poachers.
