On Sunday, February 19 at 10 PM ET/PT on ABC, The Company You Keep makes its television debut. It is replacing The Rookie, which the network shifted to Tuesday evenings so it could combine with its spinoff programmer.

We’ll have to see The Company You Keep once it airs on ABC if we want to find out where Emma and Charlie’s passion will lead them as the new trailer doesn’t give much away about the story. But when Emma and Charlie get connected with the same potent crooks, the clip highlights how the next series will take the cliché of forbidden love and turn it into something combustible. They seem to be enjoying a game of cat and mouse while at work, unaware that they spend their nights with the person they are pursuing in their own fields.

The Catch, the ill-fated Shonda Rhimes drama that ran for just two seasons, comes through more in the teaser as a consequence. The Korean Broadcasting System programmer “My Fellow Citizens” served as the inspiration for The Company You Keep.

The Company You Keep Storyline:

“While Charlie increases the family company so he may go permanently, Emma is closing in on the vindictive criminal holding Charlie’s family debts in hand, compelling them to face their falsehoods so they can safeguard their families and themselves from terrible repercussions.

Although the video clip doesn’t do the greatest job of displaying the narrative ABC offered, it is a fascinating hook.

The Company You Keep, which is based on the television series My Fellow Citizens, is often seen as a comic, but the new ABC programmer has a more somber tone. The Company You Keep’s official summary is as follows:

“Con artist Charlie and undercover CIA agent Emma fall in love after a night of passion, despite the fact that their careers are unintentionally colliding. Charlie intensifies the “family business” in an effort to escape permanently, but Emma is closing up on the vindictive criminal holding Charlie’s household debts in custody, compelling them to face the falsehoods they have lied in order to protect their families from terrible repercussions.”
