The flamboyant ARCO wins the crystal of the feature film at the Annecy 2025 Animation Festival

The film of the French Ugo Bienvenu takes over from a snail.

Some have already been planning it for a few days, the film having quietly flew over the competition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival: Arco D’UGO Bienvenu leaves with the coveted crystal of the feature film. The story, in 2075, of a 10-year-old girl, Iris, who sees a mysterious boy dressed in a rainbow combination falling from the sky. It’s Arco: it comes from a distant and idyllic future where traveling in time is possible. Iris collects him and will help him by all means to go home.

The jury prize returns to the ruffling ChaO from Japanese Yasuhiro Aoki, sort of Ponyo on the cliff Under LSD, which takes place in a world where humans and sirens coexist, Stephan, an ordinary office employee meets Chao, a princess of the kingdom of sirens. What will happen to their improbable love story? A film that is not afraid to be strange and to try fairly crazy Character Design experiences.
