Twitter admitted on Friday that the momentary suspension of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s account was a mistake.
The Georgia congresswoman was blocked from tweeting, retweeting or liking posts for 12 hours early Friday, with the platform ruling that she “violated the Twitter guidelines.”
The tech large backtracked on that suspension hours later.
“We use a mixture of expertise and human assessment to implement the Twitter Guidelines throughout the service,” a Twitter spokesperson stated in a press release. “On this case, our automated techniques took enforcement motion on the account referenced in error. This motion has been reversed, and entry to the account has been reinstated.”
The restricted ban got here the identical day Democrats moved to expel the outspoken freshman Republican from Congress.
