Utah GOP boos Mitt Romney at state convention

A crowd of over 2,000 GOP delegates booed “traitor” Mitt Romney Saturday because the Utah senator addressed his get together’s 2021 state convention, the place a censure over his two impeachment votes narrowly did not go.

The get together rejected a movement, 798-711, to censure Romney for his pair of impeachment votes.

In the meantime, delegates additionally booed Republican Gov. Spencer Cox, who gained disapproval for a few of his efforts to deal with the coronavirus pandemic within the state.

Sen. Mike Lee, who didn’t vote to convict Trump, drew a standing ovation earlier than his speech lambasting Democrats and the Biden administration.
